Chanel’s newest line of skin care products is known as Précision. Chanel Précision launched following eight years of research and the development of a diagnostic questionnaire to help establish an individual’s skin type for tailored product recommendations. Précision was developed by panel of French dermatology experts who tested the products on a wide range of skin types with good results – these tests included individuals with extremely sensitive skin. Chanel’s Précision range includes: cleansers and toners, exfoliation and mask treatments, eye and lip care, and time-fighting moisturisers and serums.
Other skin care products in Chanel’s arsenal include a line of ‘specialists’. The Chanel Specialists are: Hydration, for improving the youth and vibrancy of skin to lessen the effects of dry skin, such as tightness and fine lines; Radiance, to get glowing skin through active microcirculation; Purity, for clear, clean, balanced skin appearance; and Sensitivity, to soothe, repair and provide protection and treatment of exposure to heat, sun, cold, wind, pollution and even stress. Also, Chanel’s cache of specialist products includes an innovative Anti-dark-spot treatment to help even out the complexion and decrease the presence of dark spots often associated with aging by regulating melanin production.
In addition to the classic Chanel No 5, which was the first fragrance designed to evoke a bouquet of flowers rather than evoking a single scent, the company offers a range of perfumes catering to all palettes. From the orient-inspired floral notes of Allure to the fresh honeysuckle and subtle citrus of Cristalle, Chanel’s perfume selections cater to all palettes. Many of the Chanel perfumes are complimented by a line of moisturisers, bath and other body products to further enhance the unique signature of the fragrance as it reacts with your individual body chemistry. For men, Chanel’s fragrance options are complimented with aftershaves, deodorants and moisturisers.
Notably, Chanel is on PETA’s list of cruelty-free companies – no animal testing, but products are thoroughly tested for safety and quality control. Also, the company is among the founding shareholders of the eco-friendly Société Eco-Emballages packaging company, working to decrease the impact of waste on the environment through improved packaging methods and materials. What’s more, Chanel has its own creative studio and laboratory for the development and production of cosmetics, plus Chanel’s product development team works closely with a French research centre for healthy skin when creating and modifying their range of skin care products.
