Through the decades, the Maybelline range has continued to broaden, and with much success behind the brand, L’Oréal purchased Maybelline in 1996. Maybelline products are still produced in the factory the company built in Arkansas in 1975 and are now popular around the world. Today, Maybelline’s range includes a wide assortment of makeup products for the face, lips, nails and, of course, the eyes.
A good look starts with a great foundation – and Maybelline aim to deliver. Maybelline’s products for the face include not only foundations, but powders, concealers, blushers, bronzers and highlighters to bring out the best you’ve got. Some of the popular face products by Maybelline include the revolutionary Dream Matte Mousse foundation, which is whipped to provide a soft, perfect matte finish in eight shades from ivory to cocoa. Also in the Dream Matte line is the popular Dream Mousse Blush that blends easily and gives a natural finish without clogging pores.
For the lips, Maybelline have a collection of vivid, long-lasting lipsticks, lip liners and glosses. There’s the innovative SuperStay non-drying lip colour that is designed to stay soft, shiny and vibrant for 16 hours – what’s more, it’s available in nearly 20 colours. Also popular in the Maybelline lip collection is the Moisture Lock Lipcolour, available in over 25 colours and enriched with moisturising jojoba oil and shea butter. Maybelline offer two makes of lip liner, the Expert line, formulated with kohl and LongLasting collection, available in a retractable pencil. There’s also the fun, shiny•licous lip gloss collection, offered in ten luscious, shiny fruit-infused colours.
Nail colours offered by Maybelline include the ForeverStrong line, formulated with a unique iron-hard complex to last up to 10 days as well as conditioning agents to strengthen your nails. There is the WaterShine collection, with a mirror-effect finish that doesn’t chip or fade and comes with a patented brush for easy application. Also, Maybelline produces a line of quick-drying nail varnishes, the ExpressFinish line dries in just 60 seconds. Additionally, Maybeline offer a selection of ExpressManicure products, which work to strengthen, repair and protect nails – in a hurry.
And finally, for the eyes – true to its heritage, Maybelline continue to produce an outstanding assortment of shadows, liners and mascaras. Many of their products continue to push the envelope between ordinary and extraordinary in the beauty products industry. For example, the innovative Dreame Mousse Eye offers colour that shimmers without creasing like ordinary shadows sometimes do. Maybelline’s selection of eye liners is truly vast, coming in pencil, crayon and liquid form. And in keeping with their history, Maybelline continue to develop mascaras that are truly innovative, from Intense XXL, which offers up to 10 times the volume and 50% more length for users to Lash Stylist, with its v-shaped reservoir and revolutionary styling comb.
